Luke manages the contracts relating to the NZAGRC's research activities in support of the Global Research Alliance.
Luke joined the NZAGRC in November 2022, following a role as Science Team Leader for the AgResearch Climate Change and Forage Innovations Team, and before that, as Scientist in AgResearch’s Plant Biotechnology Team.
Luke holds BSc and Honours degrees, and a PhD, in Plant Science from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. For much of his career, Luke has researched how plants mitigate the effects of environmental stress, and forage-based technologies to mitigate agricultural greenhouse gas emissions.
