Taniya Ward is a Senior Te Ao Māori Advisor at Ag Emissions Centre, where she leads and supports initiatives that strengthen the integration of te ao Māori and mātauranga Māori within agricultural emissions research across Aotearoa New Zealand.
In her role, she works closely with Māori communities, researchers, and sector partners to ensure Māori perspectives, values, and aspirations are meaningfully embedded in policy, research design, and funding priorities. With extensive experience in Māori development, stakeholder engagement, and kaupapa Māori leadership, Taniya brings a strong background in building strategic partnerships and advancing outcomes for iwi, hapū, and Māori agribusiness.
