She currently serves as a Te Ao Māori Advisor with the Ag Emissions Centre, where she supports the integration of te ao Māori and mātauranga Māori into agricultural emissions research and innovation.
Based in Palmerston North, Bonnie was elected as a Palmerston North City Council Councillor for the Te Pūao Māori Ward in 2025, bringing her strong background in social work, business leadership, and governance to public service.
